While sitting quietly in Brancusi's Atelier at Le Centre Pompidou, Cheryl Delio began to reimagine the personal training experience. As she gazed at the exquisite collection of sculpture and statuary, all made from similar types of wood and metal, yet each one singular in form and beauty, she remembered something from her days as a student at the Art Institute of Chicago: A unique, ideal form already exists within the medium. An artist merely frees it

The same could be said for a Bespoke Fitness® trainer, she thought. Welding her knowledge and love of art, with nearly 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, Cheryl has created a singular, health and wellness experience: Bespoke Fitness. She designs supremely individualized fitness programs, unique to each client, taking into consideration his or her goals, bio-mechanics and ambitions, likes and dislikes. Working with all fitness levels, and all ages, Cheryl's intensely personalized, custom approach allows her to sculpt and ultimately free the ideal form that dwells within.

She practiced ballet when she was younger, but she's always been an athlete. She believes the human body can move in infinite ways, with infinite intentions, never moving quite the same way twice. And she is driven to explore these ways as she provides the ultimate, singular fitness experience that is Bespoke.

Cheryl believes that everyone has the ability to transcend their present limits to achieve supremely individualized fitness objectives as a means toward other goals: more confidence; more self-esteem; longer, healthier lives. Happiness, too.

We have fundamentally changed the way our clients think about and engage with the idea of, the pursuit of wellness is not a chore, it’s a benefit AND a joy that becomes a meaningful, integrated and lifelong experience.

For proof, one may  look to her clients. They include: heart transplant patients; cancer survivors; individuals who are battling obesity...and winning; clients with severe physical injuries; pre and post natal women; athletes of all levels and ages; and fearless members of an aging population who are defying the norms of aging in a quest for a superior quality of life— at every stage of it.

But Cheryl can’t do everything. Clients must be willing to make a commitment; to think about and engage with the idea of fitness in fundamentally different ways. Not as a separate, onerous daily or weekly task; but as something more important:

“Here, the pursuit of wellness is not a chore,” she says. “It’s designed as a benefit AND a joy that becomes a meaningful, integrated and lifelong experience.”

Cheryl’s certifications include: National Academy of Sports Medicine-certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT), PTA Global, Physical Mind Institute Pilates, Gray Institute 3DC, KBC-Kettlebell, ViPR/FitPro, Orange Belt Shidokan Karate, Gyrotonic® Level 1, New Leaf Metabolic Testing, Precision Nutrition-Nutrition Consulting, ISCA/Thomas "The Promise" Certified Boxing/Kickboxing Presenter, Forza (Samurai Swordfighting), Johnny G Spinning, Reebok Flexible Strength, Nike SPARQ, Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Cheryl created the group fitness class Workout Challenge for a chain of Chicago-based health clubs.  She holds a Master of Art in Art History from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Art in English and Art History from St. Mary's at Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana.

Nicole Schullo

After one of her brother’s basketball games in middle school Nicole remembers vividly the feeling of terror when her parents told her they signed her up for personal training.  The idea of personal training felt like punishment and her first experience met her expectations. Nicole quickly became discouraged and felt incapable of ever becoming an athlete.

Nearly two decades later, after losing approximately 50 pounds and then gaining it all back, Nicole reluctantly agreed to try an indoor cycling class.  Little did she know that workout would change her life forever.

“Exercise used to seem like punishment; little did I know it is such a profoundly empowering process.”

Soon after, she began personal training with the instructor who had changed her life. Instead of feeling like exercise was punishment, personal training became a profoundly empowering process. She was determined to become a certified personal trainer with the goal of helping as many people as she could.

Nicole believes that compassion and empathy help establish genuine personal connections with clients. This helps her not only create a fun and caring training environment, but also best meet the needs of each client.  Nicole knows firsthand that strength is built over time and that everyone needs something different. Nicole believes that with the right kind of support and dedication, everyone can achieve anything they set their mind to.

She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT).  She has a master’s degree from DePaul University in World Language Education, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature from Kenyon College.  Soon, she will be a certified nutrition coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

¡Sería un placer trabajar con ustedes para lograr sus metas!

Adrian’s passion for personal training is something that he discovered over time.

He was always committed to the idea of excelling physically through sports from middle school through his college years. He started with a strong foundation in calisthenics, which carried over to other types of training such as resistance, plyometrics, balance, speed and agility.

Presently, his personal goal is to instill a sense of self-confidence in his clients; and to teach others the fundamentals of physical fitness through safe, structured, custom designed workouts, tailored to the individual.

“It’s really the best way to minimize the risk of injuries,” he says, “while developing the skills and knowledge clients need to achieve the quality of life they desire and deserve.”

Adrian helps clients develop and maintain a positive attitude, which is absolutely essential to his approach to personal training. As he puts it, “I do not like to acknowledge the phrase ‘I can’t’. You really never knows your limits until you ‘just do it,’ as the slogan goes.”

His certifications include: National Academy of Sports Medicine-certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT).

When Shannon was growing up, she would have done anything to get out of P.E. class.

She was always last across the finish line, and the ball was most certainly not her friend. But a few years ago, when her husband was deployed to Afghanistan, she knew she’d need a healthy hobby or risk spending the next 12 months tethered to the TV or tied to her desk at work. She contacted a personal trainer, who helped her take a flying leap out of her comfort zone and make a shocking discovery about fitness: She could do this – and she loved it.

As Shannon told others about her new interest, they began venturing into the fitness world themselves – and succeeding. She realized that when people have the support and tools that are right for them, anything is possible. She made it her mission to create custom fitness programs, tailored to individual needs, schedules, motivational styles, and even likes and dislikes, that would give people the exact resources they need to follow their own path toward their goals – and maybe even explore the possibilities beyond.

I realized that when people have the support and tools that are right for them, anything is possible...

Shannon is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT). She holds a master’s degree in counseling and counselor education from Indiana University, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and psychology from Northwestern University.

Brett Web Headshot Final.png

Brett’s passion for sport and wellness has driven his success as a trainer and physical therapist.

From an early age Brett found himself enamored with physical fitness as a means to improve performance and never looked back. He also was a physical therapy patient on many occasions which sparked his interest in rehabilitation.

“Everyone has an inner athlete. Everyone. One of my jobs is to help clients release it.”

Brett has experienced fighting back from his own devastating knee injury and has helped other athletes return to the field during his time as a team physical therapist for DePaul University's Division I Athletics. This unique perspective enables Brett to push his clients towards gains in strength, endurance, power, and agility while improving their movement inefficiencies and reducing their risk for injury.

“Everyone has an inner athlete,” Brett says. “One of my jobs is to help people believe it, and to release it.” This belief influences his approach with each and every client. Brett considers individual client needs and goals; identifying and addressing strengths or weaknesses to help locate that “inner athlete”.

His infectious positive energy, attention to detail, and a humble, profound sense of humanity speak volumes of Brett’s character: as person and a therapist.

When Brett is not seeing patients at Northwestern; or treating and training clients at Delcorpo, he can be seen firing his signature long-distance “buzzer-beaters” on the nearest basketball court.

Brett’s certifications include: Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist from the Ola Grimsby Institute, Trigger Point Dry Needling Level I and II, Personalized Blood Flow Restriction.

John’s passion for exercise and fitness began as a soccer player in high school.

When he noticed he was getting pushed around too much on the field, he began hitting the weight room and learning more about fitness and nutrition.

He honed in on an interest in physical therapy and rehabilitation, leading him to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois followed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University.

“All progress takes place outside of the comfort zone.”

He currently works full-time as a physical therapist with orthopedic patients. However, he continues to have a passion for working with clients outside of a clinic environment as a personal trainer. He emphasizes safe and functional exercises to empower his clients to live active and healthy lifestyles, while helping them realize that, as he says, “all progress takes place outside of the comfort zone.”

John’s certifications include: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association; Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana'; Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, and an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS).
